Like so many writers, I grew up with a deep affection for books. At an early age, I imagined stories where the hero would swoop in and save the damsel in distress and everyone would have a happily ever after ending. As the years went by, I never lost the desire I had for writing, but it was pushed to the back burner for several years. During those years, I met and married my own prince charming and had four rambunctious kiddos that bring the sunshine into my world.
On my twenty-sixth birthday, I finally took the first step towards making a childhood dream into a reality. However, I came to find out I would need two big pushes to get me moving. The first big one I needed came from a source close to my heart. With such a strong supportive inspiration backing me up, I found the only thing holding me back was myself. The second big push I got was an answered prayer-a friend. That simple. Someone to keep me sane when I feel my characters are making me crazy, someone to pester with endless questions about my plot, and someone to share all my work with. I found that friend in Donna. We are mothers, we are friends, we are writing partners, we are friends, we are plotting partners, we are friends,...you get the gist!!!!!;-) As for my four children, they absolutely love the fact that their mother works so hard to accomplish her goals. The endless hours pulling my hair, talking to myself, and sitting alone in a room shows them the value in all my hard work. Before going to bed each night they earnestly pray that they too, will not lose their sanity.
I have read a vast amount of articles, books, and blogs, is the hopes of gaining a wealth of knowledge on writing. I have also had the unique opportunity to meet some awesome writers online. I hope to share all the tidbits and juicy knowledge I have come across in the hopes of passing it forward.
My favorite genres to read range from the sweet SuperRomance line from HQN to paranormal and erotica romance. I have way to many favorite authors to name. ;-) so I will spare you!! I am currently working on my first erotica romance and in the near future I'll be working on a paranormal romance as well.
With the support of my family and friends and a lot of hard work, I will fulfill my dreams. So can you!
